Enjoying being "Grammy" and "Nanny". Look forward to weekly visits with my bus kids and the ride to and from church on Sunday morning. Aware that many little eyes may be watching me. I want to be a faithful example to them.

Catchin' Up

So much time has transpired since I last made an entry. For one thing, I have been extremely depressed. I hate those periods but do deal with that occasionally. I think it was a combination of satanic oppression and physical exhaustion. When I am in one of those times, I do not want to write anything because I am not thinking properly and I NEED to put off those kind of thoughts. I know we have modern psychiatry that tells us we need to get everything out in the open but I disagree.

I will never forget when it finally hit me that Satan was not at all like God in that he was not omnipresent or omnipotent!!! DUH....he can not hear my thoughts!! So why should I give him the benefit of having anything to magnify by speaking them out loud!!!

I sure thank the Lord that I have a family that holds each other up when we have these times! Thanks Sus and Mom for your prayers. I think I'm going to make it.

Today, of course, was bus visitation. I had one of the girls that had asked to go on visitation with me, express a desire to go last week so I called her this morning. We decided that I would do the first half of my route and then pick she and her sister and her friend up. We then went to McDonalds and then did the last half of the route.

I was able to spend some one on one time with the girls. Jessicia is 14 and a pretty girl. She is a cheerleader and has a lot of leadership qualities. I have tried to impress on her how important it is for her to mature as a christian and not just stay a baby. I think she is listening.

I enjoyed having the girls with me and time went really fast. We should have a pretty good crowd in the morning.

Grandma has decided to cook Turkey and Dressing tomorrow for lunch! I couldn't figure out why she was doing it so close to Thanksgiving but then she told me that she had bought a breast a couple of months ago and she didn't want to cook it for Thanksgiving so she wanted to get it out of the refrigerator. That's fine with me. When I came home she told me she had tried to grind sweet potato peelings in the garbage disposal.....you guessed it.....I took about an hour plus to take the pipes all apart and clean it out BUT first I had to clean out the shop vac from the last time it was used. That took a while in itself.

Well, tonight is time change so we get an extra hour. Hopefully that will help us all catch up on sleep.

Can't wait for tomorrow! I know the Lord has something special in store for us!

Romans 8:1
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.'
